Ancient Coin Cabinet is a personal coin catalog. It helps you organize, photograph, and document coins you own.
All data is stored locally on your device. The app does not use accounts, cloud storage, or tracking. It works fully offline once loaded.
This app focuses on organization and reference. It is not a pricing guide, marketplace, or authentication service.
This app does NOT:
A cabinet is a container for coins. Think of it as a folder or collection.
You can create cabinets to represent:
You can create, rename, and delete cabinets at any time.
Important: Deleting a cabinet permanently deletes all coins inside it. Before deletion, the app offers you a chance to back up the cabinet as a file. This backup is optional but recommended.
To add a coin, open a cabinet and select "Add Coin" from the menu or button.

All text fields are optional. Fill in what you know or what is useful to you:
Fields like cost and perceived value are optional and personal. The app does not calculate or suggest values.
Leaving a field blank is allowed. You can edit everything later.
To edit a coin, open it and select "Edit" from the menu.
You can change any field or replace images. When you save, the previous values are overwritten.
Important:
Coins appear inside the cabinet they belong to. You can view them as a grid or scroll through details.
Sorting:
Use the Refine menu to sort coins by emperor, mint, date added, or inventory ID.
Stats (Optional):
If you enable Stats in Settings, you can view summaries like metal distribution, ruler chronology, and timelines. Stats are descriptive only. There are no rankings, scores, or goals.
Backups are files saved to your device. The app cannot recover data without a backup.

How backups work:
Recommendation: Export a full collection backup regularly, especially before major changes or device updates.
Stats are disabled by default. You can enable them in Settings.

All statistics are computed locally from your data. Nothing is sent or compared externally.
All cabinets, coins, and images are stored on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded to servers or shared.
